2013 Conclave | Recap: Day Five | Connecticut

The last official day of Conclave took us from our temporary home in Schenectady down the New York State thruway to the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie. While there, we were treated to a brief organ concert and an impromptu kick-line.

From Poughkeepsie we traveled on interstate 84 into Connecticut. En route, we even passed through THS staff member Janine Pixley’s hometown! When we arrived in Waterbury, a Palace was truly awaiting us.

To Thomaston we went from Waterbury where a gem of a theatre is tucked away up a few flights of stairs. We were even lucky enough to see the cast of the upcoming production of Bat Boy: The Musical deep in rehearsal! Looks like it’s going to be a good one at the Thomaston Opera House.

Last stop of the day [and of the official Conclave Theatre Tour] was to the Warner Theatre in Torrington. Once dubbed “Connecticut’s Most Beautiful Theatre” it was truly an Art Deco sight to behold.
