Thanks to Irvin Glazer’s hardback book on Philadelphia theaters, we know the Felton was built as a moviehouse in 1919, and expanded in 1925 to 1,362 seats to a Spanish design by Philadelphia architects Magaziner, Eberhard and Harris. It ceased movies in the 1950s.
