Beverly DI (Hattiesburg MS) Burns to the Ground

Sad news from our friends at GoingAttractions.com

BEVERLY DRIVE-IN SCREEN BURNS TO THE GROUND
Hattiesburg, Mississippi
The Beverly Drive-in screen tower burned down over Halloween weekend.  Police are investigating the cause of the fire.  This drive-in had historical status and was one of many drive-ins that contained housing in the tower.  The Beveryly had been closed for several years after severe water damage from Hurricane Katrina, so unlike the Admiral Twin in Tulsa, unfortunatley there will not be any efforts to rebuild.  The local community is very sad about the loss of their icon.

Here’s an article about the Beverly:

And for those of you who would like to see what the Beverly looked like, I’ve posted some photos and raw footage I shot when visiting the Beverly for the documentary several years ago to the film’s Facebook page.
