Bristol Old Vic’s historic auditorium will reopen this autumn following a £10.5 million redevelopment, with two plays performed in repertory.

The theatre, which opened in 1776, will stage a revival of John O’Keeffe’s 1789 comedy Wild Oats directed by Mark Rosenblatt, which will play from September 4, in rep with Does My Society Look Big in This? – a satire on current news and events by writer Stephen Brown, BOV artistic director Tom Morris and the repertory company. Wild Oats was previously staged at the venue in the early 19th century.
