From Downtown to Bushwick to Brighton Beach, theatres could once be found in every neighborhood of Brooklyn. Cezar Del Valle shares his unrivaled knowledge of borough showplaces in a lively illustrated lecture to celebrate the launching of his Brooklyn Theatre Index.
The first volume covering theatres from Adams Street to Lorimer has just been published.
And with rare images, he will discuss the third volume devoted to Coney Island, Brighton Beach and Manhattan Beach, exploring some of the myths and explaining why the number “4” is ridiculous.
The museum is located at 1208 Surf Avenue. For additional information: 718 372 5159
