Patio to reopen

CHICAGO’S PATIO THEATRE REOPENS JUNE 3

The newly refurbished Patio Theatre, 6008 W. Irving Park Rd, Chicago, opens soon. All City inspections have been done and licenses OKed.  This stadium seating  atmospheric was a bastion of theatre organ concert activity in the 1960s and 70s which led many people to appreciate historic theatres. The original Barton pipe organ is still there. Carbon arc projectors .  Film not yet chosen for opening weekend. More at www. facebook.com/patiotheatre

    OOPS ! Konrad Schiecke, THS volunteer and projector guru, notes that Janes Bond replaced the projector arc lites with Xenon lamps some time ago. Opening film appears to be set as “Thor”
