2013 marks the 80th anniversary of the Drive-In theatre. Our new exhibit Movies in the Moonlight traces the rise and fall of the American Drive-In theatre from the first Drive-In theatre, opened June 6, 1933 in Camden, New Jersey, to the peak of their popularity in 1950′s and 1960′s, to their decline into a quasi-novelty status.
