EXHIBIT: B.F. Keith’s Syracuse Theater artifacts on display at the NYS Fairgrounds

Make plans to visit the ESTMIM Museum at the Art & Home Center building during the Great New York State Fair – running Thursday August 23 through Monday September 3!

Historic theater fans will delight in the extensive collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the former B.F. Keith’s theater in Syracusehttp://cinematreasures.org/theaters/10323

When the building was demolished in 1967, the ESTMIM folks rescued the organ and many significant interior elements.  Years later, the collection was greatly enhanced by donations from the estate of former THS Director JIM FOLEY, including a fully uniformed mannequin, affectionately dubbed “Mr. Keith” who welcomes all visitors in true RKO style.

The Museum features a working vintage player piano!  All visitors are welcome to select a roll from an extensive inventory and play their own songs.  Many other vintage organs and pianos are also on display.  Organ concerts are scheduled in the main New Times Theater throughout the run of the State Fair.

ESTMIM produces organ concerts throughout the year and the museum is always open during those times.

The museum is located in the Art & Home Center Building, within the State Fair Grounds. See http://www.nysfair.org/ for directions and other fair-going details.  For ESTMIM details, email Phil Edwards at paedward@twcny.rr.com

See you at the Fair!
