PULASKI, Tenn. — Hidden in the small town square in downtown Pulaski is a rare jewel many didn’t even know existed.

It turns out one of the oldest standing opera houses in this half of the country is tucked away inside a building, and it needs the public’s help.

“The first time I walked in with a flashlight, and I couldn’t believe that we had an opera house sitting up here. We thought it was storage,” said said Tammy Pierchoski. “So you can imagine how surprised we were when we found this incredible theater on the other side of these doors.”

There are original pieces from the 1868 opera house inside the old Antoinette Hall Opera House.

When Pierchoski began leasing to own the building for a local theater company, she had no idea about the art history hidden upstairs.
