Fischer Theatre, Danville, Il

[cat conc] The Fischer opened in 1884, but the theatre we see today is the result of a dramatic renovation in 1912. This theatre was saved in 1982 with help from some big name Danville natives, like Dick Van Dyke and Gene Hackman. While the Fischer still isn’t restored or fully open, progress is being made in planning and the potential shines through.
