Foundation aids Renaissance Theatre, Mansfield, OH

December 7, 2010

MANSFIELD, OH – Trustees of the Fran and Warren Rupp Foundation have approved a one-to-one matching grant of up to $100,000 to support general
operations and programming at Renaissance Theatre, 138 Park Avenue West.

Fran and Warren Rupp were crucial to the restoration and revitalization of the Renaissance Theatre. After a period of decline, the former Ohio Theatre was closed in the mid-1970s and fell into disrepair. The Rupps purchased the theater in 1980
from out-of-town owners and presented it to the nonprofit Renaissance Theatre Inc. Since then, the charitable foundation they created has been instrumental in transforming the facility into a world-class performing arts center.

People interested in donating to the matching grant challenge are asked to contact Renaissance President and CEO Michael Miller at 419-522-2726 ext. 216, or e-mail him at
