We saw this 1940 art deco gem in a pro-active small town during our 2010 Indiana conclave. A prior grant went to renovate the exterior and canopy. This 2nd phase grant, $300,000 from North Central Health Services, will be for lobbies, concession, restroom and storage spaces, with the theatre closed until June.  The 3rd and final phase of rehab will be auditorium and projection with a digital projector added.  The Benton Community Foundation granted the theatre $24,000 toward a digital projector in January. The Fowler is a non-profit which screens first run product on weekends with the help of 300 volunteers.
