Connecticut Magazine Names Gilson Cafe & Cinema 2010 Best Dinner and a Movie in Connecticut

The editors of Connecticut Magazine(R) have named the Gilson Cafe & Cinema of Winsted, Conn. as the Best Dinner and a Movie in its Best of Connecticut(R) 2010 awards. The Gilson and other winners are profiled in the September issue of Connecticut Magazine, which is on newsstands now, and available online at http://www.connecticutmag.com.

The Best of Connecticut awards recognize excellence in various categories including Food & Drink, Nightlife, Diversions, Health & Beauty, Style and People. Editors praised the Gilson’s Art Deco marquee and called the theater a "classic cinema twin" at which patrons can also "enjoy a selection of bar food ranging from a cheese-and-cracker plate to hot sandwiches and simple pasta dishes to great, gooey desserts."
