THS Publications Director Ken Bloom in NYC and THS Board member Don Bohatka in Milwaukee both sent  this information. We saw this theatre on the 2002 New York City THS Conclave.

SMASH is an  NBC TV show about a group of professional thespians attempting to put on a Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe called “BOMBSHELL”.  The tryouts are in Boston in a fictitious theatre called the Wilder which is actually the St. George Theatre on Staten Island.

  1. William

This was on the 1980 THS Conclave tour.

  2. When we were there in 2002 this theater needed LOTS of tender loving care. Did the production company donate any restoration to the effort?
