Keystone Theatre grand re-opening celebrated with week of activities [Towanda, Penn.]

The Bradford County Regional Arts Council invites the community to celebrate with them the grand re-opening of the newly renovated historic Keystone Theatre, Dec. 2 – Dec. 10.

The historic side of the Keystone Theatre was shut down from Sept. 2 – Nov. 10th for planned renovations to address several issues such as floor slopes, seat replacement, lighting and accessibility. The historic Theatre re-opened for movies on Friday, Nov. 11 and on Sunday, Nov. 20 for live performances.

In celebration of the Grand Re-Opening,the BCRAC has planned a week of activities:

· All Week: BCRAC will be collecting non-perishables for TACO and pet supplies for BCHS in the lobby of the Historic Keystone Theatre

· Friday, Dec. 2 – First Friday – Endless Mountains Digital Film Festival Movie Showing in the Historic Theatre at 5:30pm

· Saturday, Dec. 3 – There will be a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at 3:45pm in front of the Historic Keystone, a Tree Trimming Party from 4-6pm in the Historic Lobby with live music, refreshments and crafts.

· Sunday, Dec. 4 – A Family Matinee Day with “The Muppets” & “Arthur Christmas”

· Monday, Dec. 5 – Movie Special – get a free small popcorn when you bring in a donated item for TACO or BCHS. There will also be a Community/Local-themed Basket Raffle

· Tuesday, Dec. 6 – Pizza & A Movie Night Special

· Wednesday, Dec. 7 – Come out and enjoy a homemade Popcorn Ball

· Thursday, Dec. 8 – Nightlife on the Susquehanna Series Family Night at the Theatre with the Paper Bag Players. Attendees will enjoy Christmas carols in the lobby, mulled cider, hot chocolate and aCookies in the Bag Giveaway!

· Friday, Dec. 9 – Live reading of Christmas stories by Joe Newbury & Julie Larnard-Newbury prior to the 6:45pm movies

· Saturday, Dec. 10 – A selection of Christmas music performed by members of the Independent Baptist Church starting at 9:30am, leading up to the Towanda Retail Merchants Christmas Movie/Party at 10am which includes a visit from Santa!

The Keystone Theatre is the oldest operating theatre in northeastern Pennsylvania.
