KUDOS to Capitol Theatre, Rome NY

Another wildly successful Capitolfest becomes another happy memory and we bestow our KUDOS bouquet to the hard working team at the Capitol Theatre in Rome NY.

THS was well represented in the event:  Capitol Theatre/Capitolfest organizers Art & Kylie Pierce are the Heart and Soul of the Capitol Theater and chief organizers of this growing yearly event.   Phil Williams is a hard working member of the Rome Grand Theatre Organ Society, the group who maintains their wonderful, original installation Moeller theater organ.  He was on “lift duty” all weekend for the silent movies that were presented.  Member Gerry Orlando, who is also very active in March’s  Cinefest event, assisted by introducing certain films with fascinating “backstories” and production insights.

Attending as patrons and supporters were THS members Bill Boyd, Nick Wolf, Suzanne Leworthy, Bob Throop and John Faust of the Stanley Theater even managed to sneek away from his duties to catch a segment of the weekend long event.  (When yours truly wasn’t chatting up potential THS members at our display table, I managed to sit in on a film or two!)

Attendees came from throughout the Northeast and Canada and several other states.

Start making plans NOW to join the fun next August!  Every year it gets bigger and better and you won’t want to miss out on the fun!
