Logan Thr/Philadelphia PA

A note from Philadelphia member (and Boyd Theatre Champion) HOWARD HAAS:

Philadelphia’s Logan Theatre was a neighborhood movie palace designed by architects Hoffman Henon. Prominently featured in Irvin Glazer’s paperbook book on Philadelphia theaters, it has been closed for long time. Its interior has recently been revealed as one of the rare surviving interiors among Philadelphia’s historic movie houses.

  1. This is great. I pass by this theater all the time, and I had no idea the interior still looked this good. You can tell that this was one time a thriving commercial district. Sadly, the area, like many inner city neighborhoods, hasn’t held up well.
