[category conc] The small town of Hoopeston boasts a gem, the 1922 Lorraine Theatre. The Lorraine has a tradition of careful maintenance. In 1937 it recieved a thorough art deco remodeling including a colorful yet architecturally respectful marquee. It boasts an excellent projection and sound system.

    In 2013 a small group of people formed the SAVE THE LORRAINE FOUNDATION in order to renovate the Historical Lorraine Theatre and save it from further damage.. Our goal is to totally renovated the theater and have our up and running again… We hope to bring her back to her glory days..
