Los Angeles Theater is the Star of Lifetime Network Reality Show

Well, ok, not really.  Truth be told, Abby Lee Miller and her troupe of young dancers are the stars of Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, seen on the Lifetime network.  But for theater architecture lovers all across America, the chance to see this previously shuttered former Movie Palace is as engaging as watching these talented young dancers vie for the top prize.

Whatever the motivation to use this unique Los Angeles location, the Lifetime network should be applauded for putting their production dollars into utilizing an Historic Theater in their production.

We say BRAVO, Lifetime!  And hopefully other programs, networks and production companies will look at these palaces as backdrops for productions in the future!

Wonderful! As much as I heartily applaud the (comparatively) frequent use of the Orpheum down the street as a location for such things, and as a film location as well, it’s great to see the Los Angeles being used for a live event of this magnitude.
