‘Wings’ movie reinvented New Years Day
- 1300 Ocean Ave. Asbury Park, NJ 07712
Do something unique this New Years Day and stroll over to the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park for a special historical experience. Commemorating the very first movie ever shown in Paramount Theatre on Jan. 1, 1930 – the 1927 Academy Award winning “Best Picture” ‘Wings’ that was orginally presented as a silent film, will be rescored with live musical performances by three local bands, giving the movie an edgy, modern and artistic spin.
This very special screening will take place on New Year’s Day, Saturday Jan. 1st, 2011 at 8 PM. Tickets will be $5, with partial proceeds from every ticket sale benefiting The Asbury Park Film Initiative. Tickets can be purchased at The Stone Pony box office or at the door night of the event.
