OUIMETOSCOPE THEATRE/Montreal

Many thanks to THS member Joe Masher for sharing this e-mail and bringing this emerging international project to our attention.

Is it truly the “oldest cinema in the world”?  We can’t verify that – but the history and endurance of this Canadian theater is certainly noteworthy!

Check out the YouTube video for some great historical scenes of very early cinema in Canada.

Please take a moment to look at the link below of the short film I recently made regarding THE OUIMETOSCOPE and my project to save the building. My goal is to create a new and eclectic entertainment venue in downtown Montreal called THE AVANT-GARDE THEATRE.

TIME IS RUNNING SHORT TO HELP SAVE THE OLDEST CINEMA IN THE WORLD!!!

Let me know what you think and if you have any feedback regarding the film and possibly who I should contact in order to find funds to support my project.

Yours sincerely,
