A historic theater that’s close to the hearts of many Perris residents is the latest downtown building getting a face-lift.
The Perris, a 400-seat theater, has served various purposes through the decades, including a worship house and a movie set.
Businessman Tom Sharpe built The Perris, an open-air theater, in the late 1930s north of where it currently stands, said Katie Keyes, president of the Perris Valley Historical Museum.
