ARNOLD, Neb. (AP) – A once-thriving 1920s-era theater in Arnold where plays were performed for years has been restored into a movie theater.

Backers say Arnold’s Rialto Theatre will open this spring.

Deborah Pittman is president of a volunteer group that has gutted the building. She says it has a new roof, ceiling and seats.

The theater was established in 1927. After it was closed for many years, it was bought and donated to the central Nebraska community.
