Road Less Traveled? We’ve Been There Before….

As a historian” – I should be ashamed of myself!  In my President’s Message printed in the Conclave Issue of Marquee Magazine I refered to the 1999 Conclave as being the first “road less traveled” venture.

Long time THS member RON SALTERS dropped me a note with a bit of a history lesson.  He said:

They were few and far between, but there were conclaves to smaller cities prior to the one in Rochester in 1999.  Around 1978, there was one in San Antonio TX, which was a smaller city then; Cedar Rapids Iowa was the second stop of a tri-city conclave around 1986; and there was a conclave in New Haven CT in 1990. But most of the others have been in a “Big City”.

MANY thanks for the clarification, Ron!

Yes indeed. The 1990 one was my first, and very enjoyable.
