Our prolific Philadelphia member Howard B. Haas  shares news of photos of a  historic but long hidden Philadelphia movie theatre, the Empress later Riviera,  in the Manayunk neighborhood

“The Empress opened in 1914 as a mixed-use vaudeville/motion picture theater that seated 1,500 people. . .”
